Earthaus Handmade Sample Boards are 6" × 6" plaster samples crafted on ceramic tiles in your chosen color and finish. They show the actual texture, sheen, and color of a finished Earthaus surface — something a Fan Deck swatch or screen image cannot do.
Why Order a Sample Board?
Sample Boards are the most accurate way to evaluate an Earthaus color before committing to a full project. They matter because:
Texture varies by finish. A burnished Tadelakt surface feels and looks completely different from a matte Sand Finish. The Sample Board shows you the real thing.
Lighting changes everything. Mineral pigments interact with light in ways that screens and small swatches can't convey. A Sample Board lets you evaluate the color in your actual space at different times of day.

Sample Cards:
Limewash and Lime Slurry samples are produced as 5" × 7" Sample Cards rather than 6" × 6" boards, reflecting the thinner, brushed application of these finishes. Sample Cards are $10 each (vs. $25 for plaster Sample Boards).

Plaster Sample Boards (6" × 6" — Tadelakt, Marble, Stone, Sand, Base, Lime Stucco Coarse/Fine): $25 each.
Sample Cards (5" × 7" — Limewash and Lime Slurry): $10 each.
Each is handmade to order in your chosen color from the 54-color Plaster Palette or the 43-color Limewash Palette.

Sample Boards are made to order. Please allow up to 10 business days for production before shipping. They ship from Duluth, Minnesota.
How to Use Your Sample Board
To get the most out of your Sample Board:
Place it in the actual room where the plaster will be installed — not a different room or outdoors.
View it at different times of day — morning sun, midday, evening, and under your artificial lighting.
Hold it against surrounding materials — countertops, cabinetry, flooring, tile, fixtures.
Live with it for a few days. First impressions can shift as you see it under different conditions.
Compare multiple samples side by side if you're choosing between colors.
