If the standard palette doesn't have what you need, you can get a custom color — Earthaus offers Custom Colors formulated by our colorist using natural mineral pigments to match Sherwin Williams paint colors.
What's Included
Each Custom Color order includes:
A 6" × 6" handmade sample board so you can evaluate the color in your space before committing to a full project.
How It Works
Choose a Sherwin Williams paint color — provide the color name and/or color code.
Place your order on the Custom Color product page.
Our colorist formulates your pigment using natural mineral pigments to match the target color as closely as possible.
A handmade sample board is created in your chosen finish so you can see the actual result.
Review the sample in your space and lighting conditions.
Order Custom Color Pigment Packs for your full project once you've approved the sample. Pigment packs are purchased separately — they are not included in the Custom Color order, which covers only the formulation and sample board.
Re-Ordering a Custom Color from a Past Project
If Earthaus has already formulated a custom color for you on a previous order, you don't need to start the process from scratch — repeat custom-color orders are handled by our support team.

Include the name and email address used on the original order, the approximate order date, and the Sherwin Williams color name/code your custom color was matched to (if you have it).
Our team will reference your previous custom color and help you order pigment packs in the same formulation.
Keep in mind: slight batch-to-batch variation is normal with natural mineral pigments, so a re-ordered custom color may read very slightly different from your original batch. You will need one pigment pack per bag of plaster, just like standard colors.
Important Limitations
Availability:
Custom Colors are not available for Limewash or Lime Slurry.
Color matching expectations:
Earthaus uses pure mineral pigments, not synthetic universal colorants. Because of this, an exact color match to a Sherwin Williams paint swatch is not guaranteed.
Mineral pigments interact differently with lime plaster than synthetic pigments do with acrylic paint. The match will be close, but the finished plaster will have its own unique character — including the natural depth, variation, and light-responsiveness that define Earthaus finishes.
The handmade sample board is provided specifically so you can evaluate the color before ordering for your full project.
Finish affects color:
The same custom pigment will appear differently across finishes. Tadelakt and Marble will appear slightly darker due to burnishing. Stone will be the closest to the sample board. See the Color Variation Guide for details.
Pricing
The Custom Color purchase covers the formulation and handmade sample board only. Mineral Pigment Packs for your project are ordered and priced separately once you have approved your sample. You will need one Pigment Pack per bag of plaster.
Processing Time
Custom Colors require additional time to formulate and produce the sample board. Please allow extra processing time beyond standard shipping timelines.
