Earthaus plasters can go over sound, clean, properly primed lath and plaster — but thin finish coats won't hide existing flaws.

Can I apply Earthaus Plasters over old lath and plaster walls?

Plywood works as a plaster substrate when joints are reinforced and tannins are sealed with stain-blocking primer plus Primer Grit.

Can I Apply Earthaus Plaster to Plywood?

Cement backer board and MgO board take Earthaus plaster well once finished to Level 4 and primed with Primer Grit.

Can I apply Earthaus Plaster to Cement Board or Mag Board?

Drywall is the most common substrate for Earthaus plasters — finish to Level 4 and prime with latex primer mixed with Primer Grit.

Can I Apply Earthaus Plaster Over Drywall (Sheetrock)?

Yes — always use Bond Plaster over wood-fiber boards like Steico, TimberHP, or Hempitecture Plant Panel, with an adhesion test first.

Can I Plaster Over Wood-Fiber Insulation Board?

In dry areas, yes — using Bond Plaster first. In showers and wet areas, never: the tile must be removed and a proper substrate built.
